The Tricon Group of Companies trace our foundation to 1968, with the establishment of the Al Maskaria Group in Abu Dhabi, UAE, engaged in petroleum trading and associated oil field services.

A 50 bed modern hospital based on American standards was established in 1979 under the name of Al Maskari Medical Center as one of the first private hospitals in Abu Dhabi along with the Al Maskari Pharmacy.

Al Maskari Medical Center was the only hospital in the Western Region of the Abu Dhabi Emirate and attended to the local communities including the ADNOC Group of Companies field staff and families. In 1986, the Bida Zayed Government General Hospital was opened and Al Maskari Medical Center was restructured to provide Government hospitals domain expertise and consultancy services, including referral services for their acute care patients to hospitals in USA and Europe. Al Maskari Medical Center’s name was later changed to Tricon Health Care.
